Philip is the son of a Hylian goddess and Ganondorf Dragmire, a powerful dark sorcerer.  When he was still a young child, a dark force began to take over the realm he lived in, and he and his sister Adriana were sent to live in Catalan.  Because his mother was away fighting, he rarely saw her and had no one to help him gain control of his immense powers and they often went beserk.  Philip spent most of his time by himself and retreated into a shell, feeling he was alone.  He finally met a woman named Lysia who helped him harness his powers.  Lysia selected Philip to lead the Guardians of Tomorrow, a group that was sent back in time to stop the forces that had taken over the realm from ever coming into power.  The Guardians succeeded, but they were unfortunately stuck in the past.  Philip decided to lead the Guardians out of the realm, but they became caught up with the problems in Shaldani.  Philip tends to keep to himself--some would even say he's a brooder--but he has a calm head and is a natural leader.  He's head over heels for Ariadne.
