Balancesta:  A Risan sport; two teams attempt to get a small rubber ball through a vertical hoop using their feet, hips, and knees.

 

Banti:  A term of endearment; Risan word for "beloved."

 

Barnel:  The former god of beauty.

 

Barr:  The reigning family of Catalan.

 

Beigor:  A mainland kingdom ruled primarily by Humans.  The cultural capital of the realm.

 

Beta:  An individual serving as second in command of a Gerudo pride.

 

Betazed:  A mainland kingdom completely sealed off from the rest of the realm.

 

Beverly:  The capital of Risa.

 

Book of Mudora:  The Hylian holy book.

 

Brennen:  A small kingdom in the middle of Ruatha, ruled by Queen Charlotte, with an entirely Human population.

 

BTL:  A slang term for "Better Than Life."  An artificial reality game controlled by three yellow crystals, two in the user's hands and one on the user's forehead.  The game sends the user into a coma and allows this person to create an artificial reality in the dreamscape.  Highly addictive, users, if not removed from the system, can literally starve to death.  The only way to safely remove the crystals without causing brain damage is for the user to end the game from within.

 

Bui Doi:  A term for a Hylian of mixed blood; generally thought to be inappropriate in mixed company; ancient Hylian for "the dust of life."
